MEdLM (Hons.), PGCertAP (DCL), BEd (Teaching)

Beginning my teaching career in 2008, I spent the majority of my career teaching in West Auckland where I taught a range of year levels from new entrants to Year 6. I have worked as an Adjunct Lecturer for the University of Auckland supporting students in their first and/or final year of teacher training. In 2016 I completed my Master of Educational Leadership and Management (with first-class honours) which looked at the importance of teacher leaders in primary schools. Since 2022, I have been the Leader of WaiCoL - the Waiheke Community of Learning - which includes the three state schools on the island and five early learning centres. I am also a member and Chair of the Complaints Assessment Committee for the Teaching Council, which oversees potential teacher competency and misconduct issues.
